It’s that time of year again! The APHA 142nd Annual Meeting and Exhibition is approaching and registration is officially open. This year’s meeting, themed “Healthography: How Where You Live Affects Your Health and Well-Being,” will take place in New Orleans, Nov. 15-19 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

Each year, the meeting gathers 13,000 public health leaders, experts, professionals and advocates as they engage in the latest research findings, attend timely sessions, access continuing education and participate in a host of other events.

Taking on the topic of “Healthography,” this year’s meeting will open with Pulitzer Prize-winning author Isabel Wilkerson, who will discuss the Great Migration as addressed in her book, “The Warmth of Other Suns.” Attendees can also look forward to the annual Public Health Exposition, a Monday General Session featuring five surgeons general and, of course, all that the city of New Orleans has to offer.

For maximum savings, register by Aug. 28 to meet the early-bird deadline. Find more information about APHA’s Annual Meeting and Exposition and registration online at www.apha.org.
