Summer is a great time to relax and cool off in the pool. Here are some tips to enjoy the water while staying safe.

Swimming is one of the best ways to get aerobic exercise while avoiding the heat during the summer. Just 2.5 hours of swimming per week can reduce the risk for chronic illnesses and improve the health of people with diabetes and heart disease. The fun stops, however, when we forget to minimize the risk of injury and illness.
