No one knows public health better than your community. Today, Plan4Health launched an online forum to make communities even smarter in their public health decision-making — and to help others do the same.
Plan4Health, a partnership between APHA and the American Planning Association, aims to make communities healthier through strategic partnerships between public health and planning professionals. The new Peer Learning Network is designed to allow Plan4Health’s 35 coalitions to share their experiences and learn from others. The network is designed to equip APHA and APA members with the knowledge to make their communities healthier.
“The Peer Learning Network is a way to grow the movement to create healthier communities,” said Shawn McIntosh, project manager for APHA’s Center for Public Health Policy. “We have so much knowledge sitting right here within the coalitions and communities that are effecting change. It’s exciting to see this opportunity for peers to share best practices and learn from one another unfold.”
