You’ve made public health become the nation’s leading talking point two years in a row. For year three, let’s make #NPHWchat reach No. 1 worldwide.
APHA’s sixth annual National Public Health Week Twitter Chat on Wednesday, April 6, from 2-3:30 p.m. will not only bring together the world of public health for an important conversation. It will also include people and organizations not normally associated with public health — but who can, in different ways, help us create the healthiest nation. Some of these “non-traditional” public health names have included Aetna, CNN, General Electric, Herbalife, Snap Fitness and White House Office of Public Engagement Director Paulette Aniskoff.
Over the last two years the chat has convened a combined 2,500 participants and generated more than 10,000 tweets. Last year’s chat generated more than 100 million impressions, or times a Twitter user sees a tweet.
The chat is one of several events highlighting National Public Health Week, which runs April 4-10. This year, instead of daily themes, we’ve created eight fact sheets to underscore the numerous factors that influence our nation’s health. These talking pieces will help drive this year’s chat.
RSVP for #NPHWchat on our Vite page. We’ll see you there!
