Here at APHA, our thoughts are with the millions of people across Southeast Texas and surrounding areas affected by Hurricane Harvey. Heavy rains and catastrophic flooding have devastated communities and forced many from their homes.

Even after floodwaters recede, there will be enormous recovery before families can safely return and communities can rebuild. Many public health challenges lie ahead. APHA is in communication with our federal, state and local partners, including the Texas Public Health Association, as they work to maintain the safety of their communities during this threat.

If you’d like to help with disaster response, we’ve shared ways you can donate or volunteer on our Get Ready website, and also below.
