APHA Executive Director Georges Benjamin took to the airwaves first thing Monday morning to offer his perspective on what’s at stake for public health as the U.S. Supreme Court begins day one of oral arguments to decide the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act. Benjamin’s first interview was with Mark Riley, host of a New York-based talk radio show. Monday’s lineup also included interviews with Jeff Santos of WWZN and Doug Stephan of the Doug Stephan Show. On Tuesday, Benjamin will be interviewed by Davey D on Pacifica Hip Hop Radio, Sam Seder on Ring of Fire and Warren Ballentine on the Mike Malloy show, among others.

The series of interviews is part of “Radio Row,” a two-day event sponsored by Families USA that is taking place at the United Methodist Building next door to the Supreme Court. More than 20 talk show hosts from across the country have set up shop and are broadcasting live interviews with health experts as they follow the court hearings on health reform.
