APHA Executive Director Georges Benjamin has once again been named one of Modern Healthcare magazine’s 100 most influential people in health care. This is Benjamin’s seventh time making the annual list which was announced this week. Also recognized was APHA member Harvey Fineberg, president of the Institute of Medicine.
Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius was ranked at the top of the list. Sebelius has been notably efforting the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, from law to practice. Modern Healthcare recognized her influence in health care “because of her handling of immediate concerns and implementation of programs whose effects will be felt for years to come.”
