Do you like science and care about saving lives? You might just be a public health nerd.

And there’s no shame in that, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The agency recently launched an online campaign to mobilize the public health community, complete with social media graphics.

Since Aug. 9, CDC has posted four graphics to its Facebook page, including:

According to CDC, the project also “helps create interest in potential careers in public health and acknowledges the important role of people in public health” — noble aims that ultimately contribute to a safer, healthier nation.
