Public Health Professionals, Thank you for protecting the community and sharing the facts about COVID-19! NPHW 2020
  • Monday, April 6: NPHW Kick-off Forum, 1-3 p.m. ET
    Join APHA and public health leaders in a conversation about public health’s strides in the last 25 years, the challenges of eliminating health disparities and the imperative to create a more just world. See the speaker lineup and RSVP to watch live.  
  • Tuesday, April 7: Members-only event: APHA Town Hall, 4-5 p.m. ET
    APHA is hosting a special members-only Town Hall to answer questions on COVID-19. Join APHA Executive Director Georges Benjamin, MD, and APHA President Lisa Carlson, MPH, MCHES, as they explore the current situation and vital next steps we must take in public health. Tune in and bring your COVID-19 questions.
    Also on Tuesday, we’ll be asking people to thank public health professionals for their work on COVID-19. Stay tuned for tips and ways to take part.
  • Wednesday, April 8: NPHW Twitter Chat, 2-3 p.m. ET
    Join APHA’s 10th annual NPHW Twitter Chat to talk about all things public health, celebrate everything public health has accomplished and talk about where the movement is going. Follow @NPHW on Twitter and use #NPHWchat. Check out the questions and RSVP now. 
  • Thursday, April 9: Student Day events
    This year’s Student Day will offer two exciting live online events. At 2 p.m. ET, APHA Student Assembly’s is hosting a discussion on public health leadership pathways. And at 5 p.m. ET, APHA and students from Howard University are holding a conversation on "How to Get Hired After Graduation." RSVP now. 
  • Friday, April 10: Guided Meditation for Public Health Practitioners, 11:30 a.m.-noon ET 
    APHA member Jennifer Magnabosco, PhD, will lead participants through two types of meditation to calm stress and anxiety during the coronavirus pandemic. RSVP now.
